If you've got heavy trees or two zones, you'd want a rating of at least 0.625 acres. how we size. The LiDAX Ultra 2000 covers the open lawn and misses the tree or two-zone one. The LUBA 3 AWD 3000 and the LiDAX Ultra 3000 AWD cover both.

Makers usually publish one maximum slope and don't say whether it applies in the middle of your lawn or at the edge. When a model also gives a lower figure for the edge, that's the one to use there. If your bank runs into a bed or a fence, we'd leave some margin, because edges are usually harder.

What a half-acre rating leaves out

The Ultra 2000 is rated 0.5 acres and 45% (degrees not published). It matches an open half acre and stops short of 0.625 acres. The i210 is rated 0.25 acres. It's the quarter-acre mower, not a half-acre one. If your lot is half an acre and the grass is only the back yard, measure the grass and use the small-yard page.

MOVA LiDAX Ultra 2000, MOVA US; amazon.com listing, checked Oct 13, 2026.

The Dreame 2500 is rated 0.62 acres and 80%. That area is just under 0.625 acres, so a complex half acre isn't covered. It's still the LiDAR comparison when your bank is steeper than the Ultra 2000's 45%.

Dreame A3 AWD Pro, Dreame Yard Care US, checked Oct 10, 2026.

The LUBA 3 AWD 3000 is rated 0.75 acres and adds network RTK beside LiDAR. The Ultra 3000 AWD is rated 0.75 acres and 80%. Few owner reports exist yet for the MOVA family, so we'd treat that as a real gap. The MOVA review says that plainly.
