If your lawn is about 0.62 acres (27,007 sq ft), the banks are steep, and you want LiDAR instead of an RTK antenna, the 2500 is the Dreame we'd read. There's no RTK and no perimeter wire.

We'd skip it for a full acre, for a midday run in full Southern sun if the heat pauses in the owner threads match your summer, and for a tall cut if you leave the edge mode on.

Slope stays on the 2500 row

The slope we'd plan on is 80% (38.7°), a rise of 8 ft over 10 ft, and it isn't shared with the larger models. The 3500 is rated 0.87 acres (37,897 sq ft) and the 5000 is rated 1.2 acres. Neither model publishes a slope, so neither inherits 80%.

Dreame A3 AWD Pro, Dreame Yard Care US, checked Oct 10, 2026.

Makers usually publish one maximum slope and don't say whether it applies in the middle of your lawn or at the edge. When a model also gives a lower figure for the edge, that's the one to use there. If your bank runs into a bed or a fence, we'd leave some margin, because edges are usually harder.

The edge mode and a tall cut

If you leave the edge mode on, Dreame's figure is Discs extend at edges; under 1.2 in from boundary in auto mode (Dreame figure), and that's the one to read for a tall cut. Owner threads describe a border cut near 1.2 in that can scalp a lawn kept taller, and owners switch that mode off. Cutting height on the 2500 is 1.2–3.9 in.

Heat, ruts, and canopy

Heat, ruts, and canopy are the limits we'd weigh before you order. Drive is AWD with hub motors; two omni front wheels, two off-road rear wheels. The threads below describe LiDAR heat pauses in direct sun and in Florida heat, and they describe the wheels rutting wet turf and digging into sand. The same reading includes praise of mapping under tree canopy. That praise is one independent review, not a count of owners.

Two other yards

If you want LiDAR plus network RTK, the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 is the comparison. It's rated 0.75 acres (32,670 sq ft) and 80%. The published degree on that model is 38.6°, not the Dreame 38.7°. LUBA 3 AWD review. The X430 and the LUBA 3000, side by side.

If your acre is open, the Navimow X430 is network RTK and no LiDAR: 1 acre (43,560 sq ft) and 84%. Navimow X4 review.

Questions

Will the 2500 mow an acre?
No. It's rated 0.62 acre, which is 2,500 m². The 5000 is rated 1.2 acre and doesn't publish a slope, so it isn't the steep-acre model.
Does it need an RTK antenna?
No. The Dreame page says 360° 3D LiDAR and binocular vision, with no RTK and no perimeter wire.
What is the slope in degrees?
It's 80% and 38.7° on the 2500 page. Rise is 8 ft over 10 ft. The 3500 and the 5000 have no published degrees.
