We'd buy the WR340 for an open acre whose banks go up to 30% (17°). We'd buy the X430 when the banks are steeper, up to 84%, and the side passage clears a 24 in body. Both are rated 1 acre.

How the Worx Vision Cloud WR340 and the Navimow X430 differ for your yard. Specs checked Oct 10, 2026.
DifferenceWorx WR340Navimow X430Better for
Rated area1 acre (43,560 sq ft)1 acre (43,560 sq ft)Either model. We'd use both ratings for an open acre, and a complex acre is a separate caution on the Worx review.
Slope30% (17°), a rise of 3 ft over 10 ft. Two-wheel drive.84% (40°), a rise of 8.4 ft over 10 ft. All-wheel drive.We'd pick the X430. It covers banks between 30% and 84%, and banks up to 30% (17°) sit within the WR340's published maximum.
NavigationCloud RTK, Vision, V-SLAMNetwork RTK, Vision, Time-of-flight sensorWe'd pick the WR340. Cloud RTK is priced at no extra cost and there's no antenna. The X430 is the steeper acre, with vision and a time-of-flight sensor.
Cut1.57–3.54 in0.75–4 inWe'd pick the X430. It reaches a lawn kept near 4 in, such as standard St. Augustine, and a lawn inside 3.54 in can use either.
Side passageNot published.Body width 24 in.We'd pick the X430 when the gap is wide enough. The published body is 24 in. Under that, or if you need a WR340 width, neither figure clears it.

Makers usually publish one maximum slope and don't say whether it applies in the middle of your lawn or at the edge. When a model also gives a lower figure for the edge, that's the one to use there. If your bank runs into a bed or a fence, we'd leave some margin, because edges are usually harder.

Choose the WR340

We'd choose it when your acre is open, the banks go up to 30%, and you want cloud RTK without an antenna. Worx says lifetime RTK Cloud service at no extra cost. To be fair, that depends on Worx's cloud. The WR344, not this model, is the 4WD sibling at a much steeper slope.

Choose the X430

We'd choose it when your bank is between 30% and 84%, or when the grass is kept tall enough to need a 4 inch cut. The body width is 24 in. Connect+ is free for 1 year on the X430, then a yearly fee. Network RTK is described as free for life, depending on Segway's cloud.

What each review holds back

Find My Landroid isn't settled on the WR340. The listing's comparison chart marks it included. Wirecutter treats a GPS module as an extra. The Worx review keeps both of those lines. Wirecutter also suggests a complex lawn closer to a quarter acre than the 1 acre rating, and that's what we'd plan on if your acre is broken up.

The X430 still needs Wi-Fi or cell at your lawn for network RTK, and if trees cover the path, canopy can drop the fix. The Navimow X4 review is the longer write-up. Owner threads for both models live on those reviews.

Questions

Which one for a flat open acre?
Either rating is 1 acre. We'd choose the WR340 if you want cloud RTK at no extra cost in Worx's wording and the banks go up to 30%. We'd choose the X430 if you want the steeper published slope or a cut that reaches 4 in.
Which one climbs a 40% bank?
We'd pick the X430. It publishes 84%. The WR340 publishes 30%. A 40% bank is above the WR340 and inside the X430 figure.
Do both need a boundary wire?
No. Both are wire-free. The WR147 is the Worx boundary-wire model, and it's a different review.
