If you've got an open acre and the banks go up to 30% (17°), the WR340 is a sensible pick. Cloud RTK needs no antenna. Stereo vision is part of the same setup, and Worx says V-SLAM takes over in shade.

If the bank is steeper than 30% and you're set on two-wheel drive, if the grass is patchy or weedy, or if the acre is broken into many rooms of lawn, we'd look elsewhere. The WR344 is the steep-bank model in this family, not a second copy of the WR340.

Two-wheel drive stops at 30%

Two-wheel drive on the WR340 stops at 30%, a rise of 3 ft over 10 ft. The WR344 is rated 1 acre (43,560 sq ft) and 84%. The degree on the WR344 listing is written as about 40°. Drive is four-wheel, with front-wheel steering, and the listing describes a Cut-to-Zero offset blade.

Makers usually publish one maximum slope and don't say whether it applies in the middle of your lawn or at the edge. When a model also gives a lower figure for the edge, that's the one to use there. If your bank runs into a bed or a fence, we'd leave some margin, because edges are usually harder.

Wirecutter says Cut-to-Zero isn't recommended above 15°, and that note is Wirecutter's. The comparison chart on the WR340 listing marks Cut-to-Zero as included for the WR340 and not included for the WR310. The Worx series page used for the WR340 width doesn't describe Cut-to-Zero as this model's edge method, and Worx doesn't publish a distance-from-the-edge figure for the WR340, so you may still trim the beds.

The acre rating and a complex lawn

The published area is 1 acre (43,560 sq ft), which is the acre we'd match to an open lawn. Comfortable for about 0.8 acres with trees or two zones. how we size Wirecutter, updated Aug 3, 2026, suggests a complex lawn closer to a quarter acre than that rating. We'd use that note as a caution if your lawn is broken up. Trees or two zones are sized on the size guide.

Vision, and a 2023 leaf report

Vision is how it sees your lawn: RTK Cloud (no antenna) + stereo Vision AI; V-SLAM fallback in shade. One owner of the older 2023 Landroid Vision said theirs stopped at leaves, weeds and bald patches. The 2023 report is a different model, so it may not happen on the Vision Cloud, but it's worth knowing if your lawn isn't perfect.

Cutting height on the US listing

The US listing gives a cutting height of 1.57–3.54 in, in 7 positions, and a cutting width of 8.7 in. That's the WR344 amazon.com product information, as of Oct 13, 2026. Those are the figures we'd use. A European Worx page for the WR344E lists a cutting height of 20 mm to 70 mm, about 0.8–2.8 in if you convert the millimeters. That European page disagrees with the US listing on height. The height we'd use is the US listing. Width and height don't come from the WR344 support page.

Find My Landroid is not settled

Find My Landroid isn't settled for the WR340. The amazon.com comparison chart marks it included. Wirecutter's Aug 3, 2026 review treats a GPS module as an extra. The two sources disagree, and we'd want a price before counting on it. Neither states a price or says the module works with the battery out. The same chart marks Find My Landroid as not included on the WR310.

Support outlook

Worx doesn't have FCC Conditional Approval for new models, but models already authorized can keep getting updates until at least Jan 1, 2029. You can look up any model's FCC ID in the FCC equipment authorization search.

Worx says lifetime RTK Cloud service at no extra cost. That lasts only as long as Worx keeps its cloud running.

Two other yards

If your banks are steeper than 30%, the Navimow X430 is the open acre we'd compare: 1 acre (43,560 sq ft) and 84%. Navimow X4 review.

If trees cover your lawn, the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 is the comparison. It's rated 0.75 acres (32,670 sq ft), not a full acre, and it adds LiDAR. LUBA 3 AWD review.

Questions

Does the WR340 mow a full acre?
The rating is 1 acre on an open lawn. Wirecutter's Aug 3, 2026 note suggests a complex lawn closer to a quarter acre. For heavy trees or two zones, see how we size on the size guide.
Which Worx model climbs a steep bank?
The WR344 publishes 84%, and that's the steep-bank model. The WR340 publishes 30%. We wouldn't put the WR344 slope on the two-wheel-drive models.
Is Find My Landroid in the WR340 box?
It isn't settled. The amazon.com comparison chart marks it included. Wirecutter treats a GPS module as an extra. The two sources disagree, and neither states a price.
